General

Good Tutors Agency (hence referred to as Good Tutors) provides a tuition matching service in helping parents or students who request for a tutor.
Good Tutors provides services to you, which are subjected to the following conditions stated in the remainder of this document. The services stated here include usage of Good Tutors's Apps for Android and iOS.
“User”, or “you” refers to any persons who uses our Services. “Tutor” refers to persons who has registered or uses our Services with the intention to register as a Tutor or to get tuition assignments. “Tutee” a.k.a "Customer" refers to persons who has registered or uses our Services with the intention to register as a Student or who have used our Services or any offline means of communication such as phone call, Whatsapp, SMS, emails, Contact Us Form, or any other means with the intention to request for a Tutor or make a general enquiry relating to requesting for Tutors. A same User can be both a Tutor and Tutee.
If you visit or use Good Tutors's services, you accept these terms and conditions.
Good Tutors holds the copyright to all the content and graphics on the website, Good Tutors's Apps for Android and iOS, any re-use of the materials without prior permission from Good Tutors is prohibited.
You also acknowledge and agree that Good Tutors shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused by or reliance on or in connection with use of any content, goods or services provided by us.
Your Agreement to this Terms and Conditions will also include the Privacy Policy.

For Tutors

Registration as a tutor with Good Tutors is free. However, Good Tutors reserves all rights to reject an application.
Potential tutors must be Singaporean or Permanent Resident and at least 16 years old to register with Good Tutors.
Tutors are to fill in personal particulars and academic qualifications accurately, any attempt to cheat or mislead customer of Good Tutors will result in closure of tutor's account and in serious cases will be refer to the authorities.
Tutors are entirely responsible for all content upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via Good Tutors website and apps.
Tutors are not to post personal contact details in tutor's profile description. Failure to comply will lead to cessation of tutor's account.
Tutors are to present your certificates of qualification on the first lesson to the customer for perusal.
Good Tutors reserves the right to request for a copy of your qualifications for verification purposes.
Good Tutors reserves the right not to display any unsuitable or seemingly unsuitable tutor's profile image.
Tutor's certificate images sent using the online certificate storage facility are not available publicly. Only upon customer request and having your consent, Good Tutors will then present certificate images to the customer.
The customer can request to stop tuition at any time. There is no trial lesson and you will be paid for every lesson given unless the customer has a genuine case for dissatisfaction.
Good Tutors will collect 50% of the first month tuition fee as commission charge.
First month's fee is based on the first 4 weeks of active lessons instead of the calendar month.
If any lessons are cancelled during the first 4 weeks, the commission amount remains unchanged based on the agreed long-term frequency. For instance, during the 4 weeks of 4 lessons, 1 lesson was cancelled, Good Tutors will still collect the commission based on 4 lessons and not 3 lessons.
Good Tutors is not to be held responsible for any changes that are unforeseen and uninformed.
Being a registered tutor with Good Tutors, you agree to put up some of your information on Good Tutors website and apps so that customers are able to shortlist you for tuition assignments.
Being a registered tutor with Good Tutors, you agree to receive notifications from Good Tutors in the form of email, phone call, SMS, Whatsapp or any form of communication.
Commission charges are not to be collected and paid to Good Tutors in installments.
Tutors attempting to avoid and cheat payment of commission charges to Good Tutors when due will render the person in question referable to the legal authorities.
Tutors should display appropriate conduct at all times. This include punctuality, informing the customer of any changes to timing or any other changes, dress appropriately for lessons and not to switch to irrelevant topics during lesson.
In the event customers prefer to pass the full first month's tuition fee with commission to tutors, tutors are to pay the commission to Good Tutors within 7 days and inform Good Tutors when the payment has been done.

For Customers

Good Tutors seek to be as accurate as possible in presenting information. However, Good Tutors does not guarantee that the description of the tutors is accurate, error free and complete.
The rates put up on the website and apps are based on estimated market rates and thus serve only as a guide. The final rate customers agree with Good Tutors before first lesson commencement must be follow strictly for the first month.
Assigned tutor will carry out the lessons at customer's residence by default unless otherwise stated.
Good Tutors will carry out internal verification process base on the certificates provide by Tutors for credentials verification. However Good Tutors will not be responsible for the authenticity of the certificates provided by Tutors. In no event will Good Tutors be liable for any inaccurate verification of Tutors's credentials.
Customers are to check the qualifications credibility of the tutors on the first lesson.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the tutor's credentials and qualifications are satisfactory.
In the event you are not satisfied with the tutor, you can request for a change. You will need to pay the tuition fees according to the number of lessons prior to the termination.
You are not obliged to complete a certain number of lessons.
Tuition rates finalized prior to the first lesson cannot be change by the customer nor the tutor for the first month.
Customer should notify Good Tutors immediately if tutor attempt to change the tuition rate during the first month.
It is your responsibility to ensure the tuition is carried out in a safe environment.
Good Tutors would be proud to see tutee's results improve but we do not guarantee so.
You agree to receive notifications from Good Tutors in the form of email, phone call, SMS, Whatsapp or any form of communication.
Good Tutors levies a commission from the tutor which is 50% of the first month's tuition fees. Likewise, if the service is terminated before completion of the first month, 50% of the amount of the lessons provided will be charge from the tutor.
Good Tutors will collect the commission charges from you after the tutor have provide 2 weeks of lessons.
A receipt will be sent to the payor by email.
You have two weeks to make payment from the third week of lessons.
Payment of the commission charge to Good Tutors can be made via: 1) Paynow or 2) Internet Banking. Details of the payment will be available in the bill send by mail or email.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT:

THIS SITE AND GOOD TUTORS APPS FOR ANDROID AND iOS IS PROVIDED BY GOOD TUTORS ON AN 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' BASIS. GOOD TUTORS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THIS SITE AND APPS OR THE INFORMATION, CONTENT, MATERIALS, OR PRODUCTS INCLUDED ON THIS SITE AND APPS.

YOUR USE OF THIS SITE AND GOOD TUTORS'S APPS IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, GOOD TUTORS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

GOOD TUTORS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THIS SITE AND GOOD TUTORS'S APPS, ITS SERVERS, OR E-MAIL SENT FROM GOODTUTORS.COM.SG ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

GOOD TUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF THIS SITE AND GOOD TUTORS'S APPS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

GOOD TUTORS MAKE SURE ALL ELECTRONIC ASSESSMENT A.K.A EASSESSMENT CONTENTS INCLUDING THE ANSWERS PROVIDED ARE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE IN ANY EVENT THESE EASSESSMENT CONTENTS ARE NOT ACCURATE.

The terms and conditions may be revised and amended from time to time without prior notice. Users of Good Tutors are advised to read the terms and conditions from time to time to be well informed of any changes.
