For Tutors
1a. How much do I need to pay for registration at GoodTutors
Registration is free of charge.
2a. I am unable to register, please help!
Tutor registration is a multi-part form, please look out for any error messages highlighted in red when you click the Next button.
If you are using our website and want to go back to previous page for any modifications during registration, please use registration form's grey Back button (not the browser's Back button) .
If problem still persist, please follow these steps:

3a. How do I get tuition assignments?
We send out notifications via WhatsApp, SMS or Email to suitable tutors who have registered with us.
You may also visit our Tuition Assignments webpage or via our mobile App where you can view our assignments and apply after you signed in your tutor account.
4a. How much is the agency fee?
In general, the tuition fees for the first 2 weeks of active lessons is collected as agent commission.
5a. What is the minimum commitment?
GoodTutors expects tutors to be responsible by being committed to see the students through their exams and not back out for no valid reason.
You are expected to commit for at least 4 weeks of tuition. If you back out of an assignment without a valid reason before completing at least 4 weeks of tuition, you will not be entitled to receive any tuition fees.
6a. Can tutees reschedule or cancel lessons?
Yes, tutees can reschedule or cancel lessons. Currently we seek tutees to notify at least 24 hours prior to the first lesson and 4 hours prior to the subsequent lessons.
You may stand to claim up to 50% of the lesson fees if tutee failed to notify within the time frame.
7a. Can I reschedule lessons?
If reschedule had to be made in the first 4 weeks of tuition, we require you to inform us at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson via phone call at +65 6600 8210.
After the first 4 weeks, you can liaise with tutee directly.
8a. Can I terminate lessons?
If you back out of an assignment without a valid reason before completing at least 4 weeks of tuition, you will not be entitled to receive any tuition fees.
For lessons conducted for more than 4 weeks, you can terminate the lessons and tutee shall be required to pay for all lessons conducted.
9a. When do I make payment to GoodTutors?
Parents or students are instructed to make commission payment directly to GoodTutors after half the first month's lessons have been delivered.
However, some parents/students may prefer to hand the commission payment to you. Should they do so, please bank this amount in full to GoodTutors within 7 days of receiving the commission payment. Please contact us if you are not able to make the payment within 7 days. Please look at Question 4a for the payment mode. Legal action will be taken against any tutor who defaults on payment.
10a. How do I make payment to GoodTutors?
In the event parents/students prefer to pass the full first month's tuition fee with commission to tutors, please make the commission payment to GoodTutors via: 1) Paynow or 2) Internet Banking. Details of the payment will be available in the bill send by mail or email.
11a. What is the minimum qualification required?
You need to have at least an O Level to register.
12a. What is the age limit for a tutor?
You need to be at least 16 years old.
For Parents
1b. How to I verify the qualification of my tutor?
You may request for a soft copy of tutor's certification image before confirmation. However we will still need tutor's consent. Alternatively, you may request tutor to produce their photocopy academic certificate during the first lesson. In the event you are not satisfied with the certification, you may contact us to change to a new tutor.
2b. Is the tutor matching service free of charge?
Yes, you are not required to pay the tutor matching service fee. A one time commission charge of 50% is impose on tutor. Please look at Question 5b on the payment mode for the first month.
3b. How do I request for a tutor online?
You may submit a request online through our Request for Tutor form.
4b. Can I request for a tutor through phone?
Yes you can. Call our hotline at +65 6600 8210 or WhatsApp us at +65 8895 5621 and our co-ordinators will be glad to assist you.
5b. What if I need to reschedule my lesson?
In the case that a reschedule is necessary, it must be made at least 24 hours in advance for the first lesson.
Rescheduling of lessons after the first lesson must be made at least 4 hours in advance.
For rescheduling of the first lesson, you will be required to inform us via phone call at +65 6600 8210.
If it is outside our working hours and for rescheduling of lessons after the first lesson, you will be required to contact the tutor directly.
If these conditions is not met, you will be liable for 50% of the first lessons fees in compensation of the tutor's time and transport costs.
6b. What if the tutor is not suitable?
You may terminate the tuition at any time after the first lesson but must inform GoodTutors at least 24 hours in advance of the next lesson and must pay for all lessons conducted.
Terminations made less than 24 hours before the lesson will incur a late charge of 50% of that lesson's total fee.
7b. Can my tutor terminate the lessons?
Tutors are expected to commit for at least 4 weeks. If the tutor backs out of an assignment without a valid reason before completing at least 4 weeks of tuition, you will only be required to pay 50% of the lessons conducted directly to GoodTutors.
8b. What is the payment mode?
You are required to make the commission payment to GoodTutors after first 2 weeks of lessons have been delivered. We will send you an invoice on the amount and due date. The remainder of the tuition fees can be paid to the tutor directly at the end of the month. Payments on subsequent months can also be paid to the tutor directly which is normally on the 4th or 8th lesson of each month.
Payment of the commission charge to GoodTutors can be made via: 1) Paynow or 2) Internet Banking. Details of the payment will be available in the bill send by mail or email.
